    Pics under the new lights....

OK, it took minimal photoshop to make it look like what I see. I need a new camera.....so here are the photos of the progression over the last few days.

First, the old PC lit tank (6x55W---One Odyssea fixture and one half working Jebo fixture)

Now, remove the PCs and put up the TEK with only two UVL Superactinics....

    Side shot....same bulb configuration......

A day later, the package containing a bunch of old extra bulbs came in. Here, we have 3x UVL Superactinics (two of them new), one 460nm and two old Actinic Whites....

Two days later (today), I get my new bulbs. So now we have....

4x UVL Superactinics (two new, two six months old)
2x UVL Actinic White (12000K---new bulbs)
    2x UVL 75/25 (14000K---new bulbs)

A very nice blue tint to this combo. I am going to mess with it a bit to see if anything different suits my fancy....I am going to get an 18000K Giesemann (I think) and an ATI red bulb to see if they do anything for the look......

    More pics.....

My turbinaria has never looked so good. All polyps are open full.

My donut coral has never looked better. Not only fully extended, but tenticles are present and accounted for. There is a green tint to it I have not seen before. The coloration POPS really well.

My lobo brain was dying under the PCs. It looks a little weak here, but may pull through. I have confidence....

My nine head frogspawn has never been so full and open.....

And a distance shot of a few corals. The mushroom coral is recovering from being munched on (and bad lighting). The Zoas are looking great. The gorgonian and chili coral don't care. The mushrooms are looking great under this light also.

So that's it for now. I am a happy camper.

    Peace.......John.

You know where that gorgonian would look awesome at? ;);)

What did you do in photoshop? The only thing I've been using it for is cropping and related activities.

The end result color is really nice looking. Your tank looks a lot more colorful now than before. Very nice.

My camera doesn't capture the color temperature very well. Not well at all. So I lighten it up a bit, then adjust the color just a hair so that it looks in the picture like it looks in real life, then sharpen the image. Pretty much it.
