Ya I will :) This one is only going to be used until I get my 30 gal built. I have this 10 gal one up and running and its working great so far. Had to make a few adjustments but its doing the job!

Can you drill a tank without taking everything out?

That should send very tiny glass pieces into the aquarium. Also, I wouldn't be surprised if a fish died from stress while something like that happened.

This is why people make/buy those hang on overflows. You could get one of those or take everything out of the tank...

Sorry for the cord mess but I wasn't done rearraging it yet.

    Starting from left:
Water enters and goes underneith the 1" gap then over the top where the heater is then under the other 1" gap to the media bags then finally to the 4th chamber where it hits the other pump and returns.

Nice work, I just thought I'd mention that I've been gluing acrylic for the first time and it's a bit easier than I thought it would be. I spent a little time watching the Tap Plastic vids on youtube and now I can't wait to start making my custom sump/fuge. I have some odd space and I think I can use it much better by making a custom for it.

I don't see how you could do it even if the fish where ok with it. It's best to have running water on the part you are drilling, and you need to keep your drill bit pretty level as your drilling or you run much higher risk of cracking your tank.

Not to mention the huge amount of pressure pushing on the the glass. That hole is a weakness. Grinding needs to be done with no water in the tank.
