I got a full hood from www.captivereefs.com. I'll be getting 2x250watt HQI MH, 2xt-5 actinics, and 1x1 watt moonlight. Also I've got 2 4inch fans and an E-ballast. I'm paying $680 for the whole setup. Very good price. The hood is custom made by Coralvue. I'm switching mainly SPS.

Plus with Captivereefs you get a 6% discount, and believe me every little bit counts.

I made a system using three leds from RADIO SHACK for my 45 FOWLR. Used a 6vdc 800 ma power adapter and one 150 ohm resistor per led; bingo moonlights. Very bright, lights up the entire room at night (great nite-lite for the kids ;D). Works great.

I have been wondering if the 1 watt moonlight will do the job, but I didn't get the hood for the moonlight. I got it for the MHs.
