Got it home from its previous owner and gave it a quick rinse. The whole setup needs a proper, in-depth cleaning.

Bought but may not end up in the final outcome:

    Marineland 200dd with stand/canopy
    Trigger Elite 36E sump
    2 Mag 9.5 pumps
    2 Aquatic Reefkeeper LED lights
    Random plumbing
    2 T5 bulbs + ballast

First project is to give everything a thorough cleaning. Anything that shows signs of corrosion or salt creep will be replaced. I want it looking as good as possible before moving forward with planning the plumbing. Going to pick up a RO skimmer next weekend. The lights will all likely be replaced at some point but they work for now so they'll do until I upgrade. Still need to order a couple bags of TE Reeflakes, pukani rock+mortar and some power heads.

You will need to add some T5's btw....2 bulbs won't be enough.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
    It looks so big, Brett!!!!!!

What types of corals are you thinking? Put a tiny frag in there and you will not see it for 6 months.

Is this mostly going be a fish dominated tank?

You have so many options, it's going to take a lot of thinking.

    Congrats.

I plan on running only LED lighting so the T5 stuff will be removed. It will either be Reefbreeder photon32s or AI Vegas (or Sols).

Cheryl, I plan on doing a mixed reef with a little of everything. Some easier SPS, some cherry LPS and anything else that catches my eye. I really want a showpiece sized gold Torch.

Fish I have not completely decided on. I want a school of some bold colored chromis, maybe a harem of anthias and a tang (or 3?). My YWG, clown pair and purple firefish will be transferred. Ill move my Picasso and add another to the 28. Not sure what ill do with the 8 or 28 yet other than that.

Always a compliment coming from a woman!

Congrats! Love the depth on that tank. Should make the possibilities on scape just about endless.

    Have fun!
