I have a juvenille parrot in a 30 gallon. I had 3 cats in with him & he killed 1. Would it be safe to put a pleco in with him ?

based on personal experience I would say yes
as Plecostomus catfish are well protected and I have had them in with various large chichlid species without any issues

but they do grow very large (some species especially the common sailfin type ) and would outgrow a 30 eventually
also be aware that typically there is not enough algae growing to sustain these fish
so algae wafers or algae pellet disc should be added regularly to ensure they dont starve

I have a CO2 cannister. Would it be a good idea to hook that up or should I wait till the pleco has taken care of the algae already in the tank ?
