    Hey,

Would like to know if anyone has a reliable and safe treatment for internal parasites for Koi and goldfish?

Metronidazole works well, as does praziquantel. There are many medicated foods on the market as well. I think Jungle labs makes a cheap effective version that has the said two medications impregnated in the food.

    Good luck!

    one fish sitting on bottom

Thank you for the information on parasite treatment. Also have two fish that appear emaciated, one of them a goldfish has a tail that is bent upward at almost a 45 degree angle. He sits on the bottom gasping but still comes up to feed then he goes back down to the bottom. Thinking he may have internal parasite. No outbreak visible on the outside. Should I segregate these two from the other fish and treat them or leave them in the tank and treat the whole tank with prazipro? Or just continue water changes as usual and wait?

Tank is 55 gallon with six koi and three goldfish. Water temp is 63 degrees.

Ph is 7.4, nitrate is 5.0 nitrite is 0 ammonia is 0. Change water 30 percent each week.
