last night i noticed a big plume of sand caused by my yellow wrasse, which isnt anything abnormal, but after he kind of floated around in the current looked liked he was paralyzed, no moving from pelvic fins back. today he is moving around the tank well but looks like he is swimming with only his pectoral fins. doenst looked stressed, and is eating normal,

    any thoughts????

Sounds like it banged into something try to bed down in the sand. Keep watch over it and make sure no one picks on it. Good luck

Sounds like a deep sand bed is a good idea with that type of wrasse.

yeah definitly need a deep sand bed. the yellow and my melanurous wrasse sleep in the sand. i have about 4 inch average depth. they leave no trace when they dive in.
