    Fortunately for me I have a short tank and could possibly get away with just one fixture, but would prefer two. To bad 2 would cost an arm, a leg, and my other arm.

    Heh, yep. Although I can almost rationalize it for those cool timer and cloud features. I think the whole 'modular' thing is a creative way to slice up the price for less initial sticker shock.

    Bringing this back up from the dust...

    Were you able to find a distributor of Pacific Sun products/ I did a Google search and cannot find one, anywhere.

    I am looking at the Metis CRP,released Feb, 2011, or the Metis XM, which was just released this past month.

    I'm still on the fence about LED technology at the time. I think patience is the key. Even though I have electrical training / DIY background myself a nice accessory, I'm not really all that interested in welding a variety of Christ together and then having to get the iron again when one of them fails. More screw in the bulbs are appearing in stores every day and are starting to come with higher power LEDs and regulatory capacity.
