I feed mine 2 times a week, and I also phyto the tank every other day, kinda funny cause soon as the phyto disperses and they detect it they immediately open up.. but even open at dark they arent fully open, to truly see them FULLY open in full beauty, sneak a peek at about 4am - mine look amazing at that hour of the night.

Still no pictures - we're working on it. They have started to peek out a bit when the day lights go off and just the actinics are on. Tonight is "phyto night," so maybe they'll venture out.

nice sun coral.. i have two, one with the orange base like yours and another that has a yellow base. My yellow based one opens up alot more and alot often(lights or not), the orange based one only opens when i target feed (with the lights on). Here's my yellow based one right after i got it.

And here's a more recent shot:

I like them alot, good splash of colour in a sea of greens and purples..

46 bow front with a 10 gallon sump.

The trick with sun corals is to feed them every couple of days. You can see when i first got my yellow one the skin was all recessed/mia between the cups. Now its completely grown in and has sprouted about 4 or 5 more heads.
