I took two days vacation to work on this tank. I was up and out of bed at 5:30am and worked on it all day until bedtime. My birthday is next month and Mommy is having a party here at the house and I wanted the tank up and at least moving water. Ready to move some water....lots of water...;D

Looks good OTTY the returns to the sump are fine that way thats how I do them always , Then you can adjust the height of the little vertical stubs to be just above the permanent water line once the water level is established you can cut them the be about a inch above that water level . Are you adding finish trim to the wood work to hide the tanks plastic strip ? That way you can hide the top water totally. Oh I have your bulbs they came in yesterday.. I assume the huge box got there I never opened it LOL we got a few cases to change out around the shop also. And a good mix of wattages and types .

Me and Dad are going to finish up the trim so that you won't be able to see any of the plastic trim of the tank. Will look sweet when we are done with it. Just want to get the tank up and cycling then I will have a few weeks to do all the other stuff. Save me the 14,000K SPS's.

Oh you know I saved them for you I have one and we ordered a mess of them. Once people see these they will take off I think. My clams I used to think looked so much better under the 15,000K X-M over the 10,000 Ushios and X-M's but under these 14,000'K bulbs my corals have the longest polyp extension I have ever seen bar none we where just talking about this lastnight and the Clams are looking great. I'm hard to impress with lighting and bulbs I still would take URI VHO's over any T'5 or PC or LED's made . LOL These bulbs rock.. Fill that puppy up and let her roll I want to see it . Yes I was just asking about the trim I figured you where but sometimes its the simple stuff we overlook :) Well I do anyways.

Well the tap water test went pretty well. I had to end up cutting about 5/8" off the OF because the water level was way too high for that amount of water. Never thought the water would rise to that level when all the pumps were on. After the mod everything was good. I posted a video, but I don't know how well you can see the flake food moving with the compression at YouTube on the file.

Thanks Turbo. I will be adding RO/DI water this weekend so I will finally get this monster going. If you notice my flow it runs from the short sided wall glass from two bulkheads one about 1/3 and one a little past 1/2 way up the wall that gets the flow across the bottom of the tank. The two pipe that will be buried by rock and sand on the other end will push the water up the wall and over the top back to the OF box creating a CCW flow. That way every area in the tank has flow across it and is carried back to the OF for filtering.
