Yup it's actual a tan color where it receives no lighting, it almost looks like wood.

There area people that can not keep it and it drives them nuts. I try no to say it's really easy and hardy because some can not keep it.

I can not keep Bird Nest it drives me crazy. Every year or so I try it only to remind myself of the fail.

 

Another awesome thread. I made it back about 20 pages & with a ton of great info here. You deff make us all want to try the Rp, maybe in the future for me. Looks great.

Nice coral

 

As the title says, it's the 3 year mark. This Red Planet has been fragged about 5 times. The base has some areas of die off in the most shaded areas, no STN knock on wood. The corals has totally encrusted surrounding rock structures.

When all else has failed this coral gives me hope.

 

Your tank doesn't know fail.

 

Very nice. Every time I see the color in that coral, I just hope that mine turns out somewhat close to it.
