It is a dry heat, yeah right !
I was going to try sugar.

And no I would not recommend carbon dosing for tanks without a skimmer. Nor is it my intention to influence others on how to care for their systems. I do try different things with my systems as long as it does not adversely affect any corals, inverts or fish. ;D

Carbon dosing sucks oxygen out of the water that's why a skimmer is highly recommended...I'll grab a few pics as soon as I can get on my computer...i can't guarantee my photo skills though. Never could get the colors right.

Got the pictures with my cell phone...[IMG][IMG] not to good but if you need better ones I could break out the real camera.

dont think any of those two are ora red planet... the first one is encrusting and the second one has some very small polyps and a different growth pattern. id say also a montipora

The branching one was on an ORA plug the encrusting one was just on a cement disk type. you really think its looks like a montipora?

My red planet bleached half way under my 4 bulb t5 on my 55, be sure to give it moderate-ish light and acclimate it to your lights slowly lol

my red planet, has polyp extension the most of the day. its pretty red except for a partially green base. have only had it for a couple weeks so no real color changes yet, I think its turning redder tho. Its 3/4's down my tank.

pics are 10,000k xm 175 halide no actinics.
