Olympics Hockey - I'm smelling me a U.S. vs Canada final.

Wow what an exciting game!!! I had given up on my beloved Canada when the US tied it up.
Way to go Canada!!!!!

 

well what a game...both teams at the pinical of their sport and only a point between them. It truly was a great game to watch

 

Great game to watch...but also made fans on both sides want to poop bricks Several moments scared the poopoo out of me. At least the final goal was quick and wasn't a traffic jam scramble in front of the net. It helped ease the pain Although us getting silver and our friends next door (or up north) getting gold sure is a good way to end an Olympic hockey tournement.

 

Well, you guys DID win a lot more medals than we did.
But then again, we did win more GOLD than the US for the first time EVER.

We're all congratulating Canada for a HOCKEY win. Let's not turn this in to a US vs Canada thread please

 

Luongo and Yzerman would have been pariahs for months. This will pass a lot faster in the states than it ever would in Canada. Remember how the US reacted when our Olympic basketball team lost for the first time? Epic...

 

yea it would have been pretty sweet though i think there would have been a whole lot more than booing going in the stadium if we would of won, probably would have been riots and what not all over Canada, *sigh* if only 2nd is still good though

 

The way I see it, no one country is liable to dominate Olympic hockey in the foreseeable future because teams are becoming very evenly balanced. While it was Canada and the US at the top this year, there are quite a few teams quite capable of taking a run very soon from what I saw of several games.

 

Thats a very good point. I bet a large portion of americans already forgot about it, which is a shame.
