Even though it is public land, the oil spill is considered a health hazard and access to areas affected by the spill can be off limits to civilians until health officials have deemed the area safe.

Have ypu ever spent anytime in that part of the Gulf? I can take you to places up there that your lucky to find if your even in a boat LOL

 

yes I have.

All I said was even though it is public land, they can restrict access due to the health risk...

 

Health risk......yea I hate those damn sticky tar balls! Almost takes gas to clea it off your skin LOL

 

Here is an interesting article about how much "natural seepage of oil and gas from fizures in the Gulf of Mexico. I find the part about clams and tube worms using gas and oil as a food substance.
