    When you hit 'reply' there is a 'notify of replies' checkbox below the message box. SImply check it before you post the reply and you will be notified. I will make it checked by default soon, I keep forgetting to do that.

    'Plankton' just means you are new to the board. Most boards have pseudo ranks built in based on number of posts and I just changed them to be fish related. The star is somewhat related to that. They really don't mean a thing! ;)

    By the way, I made it so you don't have to check email notification anymore on reply. It is now checked by default. Also I have the gallery icons shown for guests cruising the board too.
