You'll do just fine in a 55g with softies and some LPS. Stuff like a flower pot won't work for you. Neither will clams or SPS. But there is plenty you can keep under your array. Set it up right and it will be be nicer than most systems in most homes. It's just a matter of quality of bulbs, coral placement and general husbandry. You will have to change your bulbs out every six months though. I have held on to mine for a year and my corals are not looking so good. But I am upgrading here as we speak. Soon....my PCs will be gone!!!!!

When are ya upgrading and wahtcha want for the old lights or ya got another tank for em? That would do me better than what I have. Course I wont have no more real cash till the Eagle flies on the third again...I have an old tank frame in the closet it is 48 X 20 X 20 how many gallons is that? I dont know how to figure it up. It had a snake in it.

That sized tank would be an 80 gallon.
Now, if it was a reptile tank, you would not want to use it as a fish aquarium. They are not all created the same. Reptile aquariums have much thinner glass, and with one that size, it really wouldn't be safe to fill it with water.

    Good point there.

The method by which to calculate gallonage is to multiply length, width and height.....then divide the total by 231. That gives you US gallons.

    I think it's photoconversion ....
blue light promoted the expression of fluorescent pigmentation most effectively ..

Coldshot, when the eagle stops there ... feed it good, so it can make it here..
We need a bigger eagle so it can carry more....

    Later Budd

    divide the total by 231...
BUT , if you want a bigger tank devide it by 115.5 .... !!!
    I HAD a 60 gal tank, now it's over 100 gal. !! LOL
But doesn't look bigger, got to rethink this.. ( jokeing )
