i am no where as good as godbert is with octopus, but it will eat just about anything, if you have shrimp, crabs, etc and it can fit in it mouth it will eat it. IF you dont krill, frozen blood, things like that will do. but some octopus are fun about non-live food.IOM correct me if i am off reefer

snooopidydoo where did you get your rock from?

Octopus's are neat critters better left alone in the ocean, IMO. If you have rock in your tank, I hope its held together somehow cause they are notorius for knocking rocks over while hunting for food. Tight fitting lid with no escape holes cause they are perfect escape artists.

The TN Aquarium in Chattanooga had an octopus species only tank. They kept losing fish in other tanks and couldnt figure out why... meanwhile, the octopus wasnt eating. Somebody had the bright idea to watch the security tape from that area and it showed the octopus climbing out of its tank and crawling over to the other tanks and having a feast then going back to i ts tank.

They're called a Blue Ringed Octopus. Just to add to what Godlet(sp) said, if your going to keep the octo dont plan on having any fish or any other living thing.
