you could inject them with kalk paste or lemon juice that would kill them.

does that have any negative affects on the tank? Isnt kalkwasser used to raise calcium levels in your tank?

its been used for years to kill aptasia. the amount used would be insignificant but with that said make sure you do not get it on any corals you want to keep as it will burn them.

....and alkalinity, and it can raise pH by quite a bit.

The idea behind using it is to chemically burn whatever you're putting the stuff on. Lemon juice is the same idea, just with a low pH substance instead of a high pH substance.

You just don't want to use too much at once, since it can raise pH by a good amount.

Would the dying Palys give off any toxin that might harm the other coral or tank inhabitants?

you could also take a pair of tweezers and manually remove them just do not touch them with your hands. if you have surgical gloves then this would be better.

Will they easily peel off of the porous Live Rock?

yes they are a soft coral. I pull button polyps, palys of rocks all the time as they start to invade other corals.
Also if you have pets like cats or dogs its best to flush the polyps down the drain as they can be toxic and poisonous.

i have a pair of needle nose pliers, but they are kind of rusty! That would not be a good thing to put in the tank, huh?

Better idea: hook them up with a frag plug.
