not sure what this is

    Hi I bought this 4 days ago I was told it is an anemone but have been told since that it is a coral..what is it please

    definitely a hammer coral...likes somewhat bright lighting with a moderate current and likes to be fed maybe a piece of krill or fish whatever it accepts works try different things.

    Glad to see you here!

    The guys are right. That is certainly a hammer coral.

    Make sure you give it plenty of room from neighboring corals. It has sweeper tentacles that will sting neighbors.

    A pretty coral, and quite hardy if your water params are good and have good lighting.

    I hope it wasn't your LFS that told you that it was an anemone. Stear clear of whoever told you it was.

    You ask your questions at 3Reef...and you will get the right answer!
