    ok well on a closer look what you have is actualy briarium stechei(characterized by the thin and fuzzy tentacles on each polyp).... which is infact an encrusting gorgonia,but comonly called "metallic GSP".(what most ppl would prolly consider more desireable)....and yours looks to be a fairly new growth from its original colony which is why there arent many polyps. that is both good and bad though.
    bad, it could take a while to open
    good, if under the right conditions it will grow nice and fast
    check out this picture to see what it will look like once it is grown out and polyps are extended BRIARIUM

    what i would suggest is rubber banding it to a ronck until it can take hold and place in a area of high light and decent flow


    what TBELT is a tru GSP(Pachyclavularia violacea)....

    I don't really have high light so I'll try putting it as high as possible in the tank or off to the LFS it goes.
