I have to check that out. Any reef/coral test kits you suggest?

Allot of people use api, some use red sea. I use both depending on what I am testing, like for alk I don't like the red sea one because it just gives you a range.

Yeah I have one API test kit right now, but it only tests for nitrate, nitrite, phosphate, and ph. I'll have to pick up the other one today. Thank gosh I work in front of a pet store :) Too bad they don't sell salt water fish though!

When do you suggest to start adding corals?

Well this is my opinion because it will very from person to person, you would be okay to add corals at the 2 month mark (the ones you have anyway) but you need to have your mag, calcuim, alk and ph in check, it makes it allot easier in keeping healthy corals IMO.
I consider these the basic par for keeping corals. The salt mix you use would add trace elements and such.
its hard trying to diagnose problems without knowing what those par are. as long as you know what those are and your phos are in check then you should be able to add corals.

Okay, I finally found an alkaline test, I also got a calcium test. I could only find the red sea one (which I really don't like!)

    Tank:
34 Gallon Solana w/ protein skimmer and 2 power heads

    Params are :
    Salinity - 1.0235
    Alkaline - 2.8-3.0, so it's a bit high
    Calcium level - 420
    pH -8.3
    Phosphate - 0.5
    Ammonia - 0.25
    Nitrite - 0
    Nitrate - either between 0-2
    Temp - 80

--- Just did all the tests now

    Operating for 2 months.

    I normally do a 10% water change Friday/Saturday.

I regret the pulsating xenia in my tank now. I can't get rid of it and it spreading every where. You should really get some practice on keeping parameters in check before stocking corals. I hope all works out for you.
