Yeah. I suppose it all worked out well. The temp is holding, infact, I suppose it'll make it through the night without coming back on.

When you say you "hope not too fast" you're talking about maybe shocking the corals, huh? I considered that. I really was going to slow the initial chill down over a more gradual period, but I didn't.

    Everything looks very happy.

I should give individual shoutout thanks to those who personally helped me including Tangster, Luna, Bogie, Steve Wright, Reef_Guru, and Otty.

God I love this place. :)

Well it's a wrap. Just had to affix the 2-hole strap with some plastic fasteners, and we're good. Now the return to sump from chiller is secure.

Noise level is very subjective. It's directly below my TV, and when it comes on, I don't have to adjust the TV volume. It's noisier than my refrigerator, quieter than my AC.

Last night, when it was on for the first time, it ran for approximately 90 minutes taking the heat from 85.1*F (wow!) to 78. At the end, I placed my hand in the air flow emerging from the back; which was warm, but the shelf holding the DVR for the TV, sitting about 12" above the chiller, was not warm to the touch.

Now that's it's cycled a few times overnight (on at 79, off at 77.9--I have it set for 78*F--it comes on and does its thing in 12 minutes. During that time there's no heat. The air blowing out the back is no different from ambient.

We'll see today when the halides come on, how often the chiller kicks on--and for how long, and if it heats the place up.

    I'll report back.

Agreed! Great documentation. I'm going to have to remember that part about the boiling water/ice water! :)
