Welcome to 3 reef. You'll find anything you need to help you and care for a nice aquarium. Have fun in the snow! I'm a true Floridian so I've never seen snow. ;)

Thanks! I'm not sure yet...I can only have a 20 gallon in the apartment, but I'm planning to move in a year. So I may decide to wait and start with a larger one.

A small tank would be a good start then (20 g apartment rule), then upgrade/upsize as many do.

Bascially 2 extremes of the specturm; one end is buy/get eveything used as in on CraigsList, and keep it real simple. the other end is buy all new, all the latest controllers, expensive LEDs, water additives, etc.

    Welcome to 3reef!!

Personally, I'm more on the cheap and simple end of the spectrum.

YOu can see my set up in my video in my signature.

Welcome to 3reef and +1 on getting your feet wet with a 20 gallon. Take your time and do some reading. Then, start it up and learn the basics before moving. You can upgrade then if the timing/finances work out.
