    the more closer to the red and yellow spectrun or as cool of K as you can get the algae swill do better a 3000 simple house flood lamp bulb is great and the plant grow bulbs are best.

    your phosphate is probably pretty low too, something the LR only tanks miss...oh wait lots of pages....replying way back there....oh well/

    If you get a flood light like Tangster said, make sure you don't get halogen. Waste of energy and heat. Better to get something more efficient.
