I really think this is a baby feather duster, nothing special just a filter feeding f.d. mine look that way too when they are small. keep an eye on it thought for a few weeks.

The tank is getting cover in some type of algae, its brown in color its on the rocks and on the surface of the sand. The bristle worm showed back up last night and I was unable to catch him. The little flower that I saw has been identified as a feather duster which is cool. The glass needs to be cleaned I will assume that I should use some type of plastic razor which LFS will have.

OK the tank is covered in brown stuff, so I stopped at the LFS showed them a picture of the tank. I purchased 4 hermits crabs and 2 Nassarius Snails. They said this will start the clean up crew. I hope this is a good start as my tank is only going on 3 weeks. But it is not looking very nice at the moment.

might need a little more for a 55 gal. I would start with 10-15 hermits and 3 turbos a few astirias and if they have any cirths that would be great also. But brown stuff will clear up after awhile. Some may tell you to increase flow or check your levels but you are on track with a new cycle. Give it time.

The brown stuff is normal.. it will go away in due time.. Correct me if im wrong but I think its called a diatom bloom... Its apart of the cycling process.. Your clean up crew is good for now.. Later you may want to add more.. but do that later.. :D
