New unit 140 tds out of membrane

    I pulled the membrane and reset it with no change.

    The waste water rate is 720 ml
    With ro water @ 300 ml
    Tds starts @140 and drops to 100-104 after a min
    the pressure is @ 70 with. Temp of 50

    I'm lost

    I'm sorry, but I am lost, too. I am also hitting the road for vacation tomorrow morning and can't be of any more use.

    I'd suggest you call our office at 1-800-685-2783 and press #3 for a gentleman with more experience than me.

    Tell him everything you've got here and tell him I think it might be a cracked membrane housing and see if he agrees, or has a better idea. He will probably want to know your tap water TDS, also.

    He will comment that you only have a 2.4 to 1 ratio, but that shouldn't be a deal-breaker in this situation, unless your tap TDS is extremely high.

    Ok Scott I'll call tomorrow but I did swap out membranes with my old unit and I'm getting 3tds now so it would have to be something in the membrane for sure..

    Well, that's a different situation. I didn't know you had another membrane to swap out.

    In that case, you have time to get it replaced. Call and press 1 for Sales, have then give you an RMA #, you give them your name and invoice #, put it in a 1-gallon zip-lock bag and send it back for a replacement.

    I haven't heard of a new membrane like that and I'm sure we will want to have a look at it.

    Ok great thanks Scott... I had one from my other ro only drinking water kit .. It just crossed my mind to try that and bingo but still very wierd... But yes I would like a replacement so I will call tomorrow and get it set up... Also what's the likely hood my di is now close to being exhausted ?

    Now that is great customer service! It is great when sponsor are active in their own forums. It really gives me a lot of confidence in their products as well.
