New unit 140 tds out of membrane

Hi guys,
Here is my situation...
I bought a unit from you about week ago I hooked it up using you guide for rodi and drinking water I have tried it installed with out the drinking water kit also but it seams no mater what im getting 140ish tds out of my membrane.
My tap tds in 437 give or take. Can you or someone else help me resolve this issue ? Is the membrane bad ? Not seated ? I'm bummed cuz I'm sure I have wasted my di as I needed to make ten gallons of rodi tonight and didn't realize my tds was so high coming out of the membrane.

As I asked in your other post did you trim the flow restrictor to regulate the ratio of waste to ro/di water?

 

Sorry I wanted to post here also I did not trim it down I knew I was going to miss something
How much do I trim ?

 

Read the manual that came with the unit it gives instructions for calculating the 4:1 ratio as well as a chart used for determining the restrictor length.

So I got a production rate of 1.7580 I sniped it down to 6in total length like it says to do
I'm still getting 100 tds ?
Any other suggestions ?

New membranes are never that bad, so perhaps the membrane isn't properly seated in the housing, or there's a defect in the housing itself. Disconnect the black tube at the housing cap. Un-screw the cap, and see if you can push the membrane farther into the housing.

After that, I'd like to know the flow rates of both product and waste water, in ml/min. Also, the pressure on the pressure gauge and the cold tap water temperature. Put a thermometer in a glass and run it under the tap for 4 minutes to get an accurate temperature reading.
