    Congrats on the new DT.

Are those all live plants? Looks great anywho.

I think the 180 has the Ideal gootprint/size for a DT
I'm sure the 'fresh' guys will chime in and discuss the discus, etc.

in a 180 liter you can only really keep a single discus with a couple tetras

Yes they are all live plants .. I have a lot of other 180l with a few more then one?!? Discus .... Think it's also the way you will maintain the tank is a big issue too... Thanks for this ..

Tetras, Corydoras catfish, Pencilfish and Hatchetfish make good companions in the tank. Any of the plecostomus type catfish are good too. With good maintenance practices, i.e. lots of WC, you could keep 4 Discus. It looks as though you have enough hiding places for them to be happy.

You're main issue will be aggression as the discus grow. Juveniles tend to be a lot more peaceful with their discus tank mates up until they hit sexual maturity. Then, in a tank this size, you may run into bullying problems.

As for tank mates, just dont add anything that could be looked at as food by the discus(tiny tetras). I think golden rams would be a great choice for a small discus tank. They would look nice with your tank layout/colors.

    So, is this a 180g, or 180L?

I think we need an update for the OP!
