Hello, i am about to start my first marine setup and could do with a bit of help

ive got a 260litre fluval vicenza that i am converting, it is predrilled 2 holes with space underneath for sump, which i have a tank which im going to use, ive got some baffles cut but need some advice on how many chambers to use, and best overflow system to get the water from my display tank to my sump ive taken a few pictures as below

I quickly drew up this idea i have,
i went to the aquatic store earlier and he showed me a setup that had 2 solid tubes going to the surface of the water with just a open end that water was flowing into, it seemed pretty quiet and may suit me as i have got 2 holes drilled allready

another thing, i got all my baffles cut to the same size, they are pretty big and are about 40mm down from the top of the sump tank, is this going to be a problem, do i need them to be shorter for different sections?

and is this an ok setup i have drawn up? or is there anything you would change?

    thanks you

    Olly

Welcome! The sump draw up looks good. The baffles should be the right size for each chamber. The middle one just needs to be an inch higher like you've drawn. The only thing I would change is the baffle on the left for the return chamber. I'd make it smaller, it makes it easier for pods and such to get back into the display tank.

And you might want to leave more space between the baffles and the top of the tank for run off when you shut off the pump.

so you mean make them all smaller and make the end one a bit more smaller?
