Haha I don't really care for the red, my wrasse HATES the skimmer I hope she will get used to it.

As far as skimming it was skimming ok, I actually had decent skimmate, pics are somewhere in the thread. It's really wet, i'm trying to figure out how to run dry. I emptied the collection cup last night, had it running I woke up during the muddle of the night, checked the skimmer it was almost overflowing, it wasn't reeally skimming either, it was just water. So I just unpluged it, I didn't have time to work on it this morning so when i get home from work, I'll get it back working again.

But all in all I really like the skimmer, I just have to getvit adjusted right

Wait until it fully dries and the carpet is crunchy and salty, lol. Just make sure you dabbed up the excess water with a towel to prevent molding and all that bad stuff.

don't forget the pump will have a break in period so just dial it back and let the pump run. the pump will right itself eventually.

i have had the skimmer pluged back in now for a few hours and i am just starting to get microbubbles in the tank, where i had none earlier, im hoping that this is all apart of the breaking in process and that it will go away
