As many of you may know from reading my otehr thread, its tiem to start a new setup!

I used all dry pukani rock from BRS before and loved it, only downside was it was hard to place corals!

i was thinking of going reefsaver rock this time as it is cheaper and also pretty nice. Might want to mix in a few branch and shelf pieces too,

Any comparisons from the reefsaver and pukani? ANyone here ever use both of them either seperatly or togeter in one setup and if so did you prefer one over the other?

Have you checked out Marco rocks, I bought from a different company three years ago for my 120 gallon but came across some good reviews on Marco before moving and setting up a 220, the other companies rock was very dense and not appealing, Marco rocks were just how they pictured, and looks amazing.

Just to update, I ended up getting 50 lbs of reefsaver and 50 of pukani. The pukani seems much less dense. The reefsaver seems more like sculptured concrete. The pukani pieces are about 25 lbs each and seen to be porous throughout. Even though they are big pieces, it looks like water will be able to reach even the deeper part of the rock.

Thanks I got 50 lbs of pukani and bought about 18 lbs of reefsaver from a lfs. Im thinking of ordering another 50 lbs or so though in the future to help sculpt with the pukani pieces are just so big!

I had two pieces of pukani about 25# each. I just laid them down on the tank. They made a good base to build on.
