    hey guys, check out these 2 new corals we have at the shop. they are both very rare and very beautiful.

    What are they? The second looks like it may be an acanthastrea?

    those r pretty, first one kinda looks like some kind of encrusting monti, awsome corals :)

    Both ara a type of chalie (echinophylia). The non prenounced corilet is a dead give away that these aren't a chalice. The lack of numerous small coralites and the fact it's an LPS, rules out montis :D

    FWIW, I'm a chalice collector ;) I've got about 15 different color morphs of the family pectiniidae.

    the red 1 is called echinophora lamellosa and it went for 400. the green 1 is called echinophyllia and it went for 300. they are both quite stunning in person. the red 1 came from the red sea and the green 1 came from japan.

    WOW!!!!!!!!!!! thats alot of cha ching...but then again they were awsome!
