    Scratch my last suggestion/question. I just saw you're set with a sump/skimmer combo. So oxygen won't be the problem in this case.

    ya, i think it has to be the power head. thats the only new thing in the tank

    con999 yes i did get them from the 50% off sale. Dont know what to do other than ride it out and hope for the best.

    Depending on the size of the tank, and what is stocked in the tank for livestock, It still can lead to poorly oxygenated water.

    Have you thought of testing your water before blaming the equipment? Cause High nitrate/nitrite and ammonia can make your fish do as you described.

    all params are perfect. and i wasnt without a powerhead i have spare on hand.

    my clown, bullet, and cardnal fish are all normal

    could be mold release agents left over from the manufacturing process

    should be something carbon can filter out.
