    from the pics , im tryin t see if the mantles pinched. one angle looks like it might. have you tried maybe findin a happier place for it? if its down low, move it up a bit. or the opposite. maybe find a place with a bit different flow. but not that its gettin blasted , very light.

    I don't believe that you answered the question regarding lighting. What kind of lights have you got it under?

    Also, I see that you still have it on the sand. I believe someone suggested putting in on the rock. If you haven't already done so, now is the time.

    Lastly, from the looks of your sand, your tank is relatively new. Have you tested your water lately? If you have, what are your parameters?

    Alright I'm going to try moving it to a different place, Also if it does have a pinched mantle what should I do?

    ca- 450

    mag- dont have the test

    standard procedure is to do it in a freshwater dip that is the same temperature and the same pH as the DT for a half hour. Be careful though, this is stressful to the clam...

    But the best thing to do is to read read read!

    It's about 9 months & That brown stuff on my sand is gone now it just disappeared out of no where

    OMG! It does have a pinched mantle, My poor clamy :'(
    Should I do fresh water dips?

    that seems to be the prescription to try and over come a pinched mantle. you found out how to do the dip?
