    thats very good then. now in regards to it not opening fully. youve seen the clam fully open? only asking because maybe thats all there is to it right now. and i think whippy's suggestion would really help. give us a pic of the clam in its state now if possible.

    I just posted pics and thats the most I have seen it come out. I'm also feeding it Marine Snow 2 times a day.

    its one of three reasons:
    1. it is still adjusting
    2. it has pinched mantle (not likely if its in a healthy environment tho)
    3. it is almost dead

    Be patient :) These folks are really helpful. Sometimes it just takes a few for a response.

    well if it is 1. then nothing... If it is 2. then you need to research pinched mantle disease and try to diagnose it yourself... and to determine if it is 3. then you need to think how much stress its been through recently (if I remember correctly your friend bought it and then had it for three days then gave it to you?) thats a lot of stress for a clam

    try searching pinched mantle on here, I believe there is a sticky by inwall? otherwise start here: pinched mantle - Google Search
