    imo nothing brings out color of corals aqnd fish like black background

    Most show tanks that i have seen have black backgruonds so in my opinion i like black so what i did before i set up my system is went to my local car tinting shop and bought enough limo tint to do the back of my tank its the best background ive ever had you dont have to tape it because its self sticking but it is a permanent fix

    try using limo tint it really works good but it is permanent

    looks nice.you should keep us updated on how it works out.i painted the back of my tank with a small can of flat black latex.i can scape it back off easily if i want and change it

    Just wondering how your new lights are still working out? I'm looking into upgrading to T5 and I noticed your thread and saw the great price. Who is the manufacturer? I have been warned about buying some inexpensive T5 lighting ($120) and these are even less expensive. Other members have said some manufacturers light have caused house fires. Were you warned about buying these any issues or concerns?

    Hey yes I was warned about these and so far so good I love em! my finger or colt loves them I don't keep them on for long periods(the daylights) and I have noticed they do get pretty hot(daylights), but I can put a fan on them and they cool right down...I love the legs that come with them too I think oddysea makes em under a different name

    No need for background here, Coralline has taken care of that..A more natural look and mimics a true reef...
