So looking to add a new light onto my 46 bowfront. Currently only have a dual bulb fixture and I find myself adding more and more sps for some reason. Would like to keep the light I have ( Aquaticlife dual bulb linkable) and add another but am limtied in space because I do not have a canopy.

Any light that is like 2-3inches wide that I can add behidn the T5? Thinking some kidn of LED strip but I am not sure if it would do any mroe than accent lighting.

Maybe a DIY led, but it wouldn't have moonlights. It may allow you to grow sps.

It wouldnt be the sole light, like mentiond above have a dual bulb T5 HO with quality bulbs and reflectors for the main light. Jus twas thinking a little boost would be great wasnt sure if the LED strip would add any extra boost or just color/shimmer

I would consider investing in a new light all together unless you had plans on upgrading soon.

I was thinking about it, btu being 36inch ocne I upgrade I will not have much use for it and since I do not have a cabinet I cant purchase the ncie LEDS or MH that requrie suspension.

Was hoping for a cheap addition around $100 or so. Nopt sure if it exist lol

What about a single T5 light? You could probably buy end caps, a decent reflector and ballast for about $100. If it were me I would upgrade the t-5's to a 4 or 6 bulb unit or go 100% LED.
