    They have much darker coloring under less intense lighting. I have kept in both high and low lighting. Too high, and they become very pale (bleached) vs. the nice dark pink they should be.

    I just last week got another piece plucked by my flame angel and it's growing in a cave on the sand. this coral really is a survivor.

    Mine was somewhere between purple and dark tan. It grew 10 times the size it started in 6 months. it looked pretty similar to this one. http://www.freeinfosociety.com/site.php?postnum=2285

    I had similar corals with bright green and neon green but they got blasted off of their rock by a rouge suction cupped power head and I couldn't find them before they ended up getting buried.
