new introcued crocea clam hit by flameback angel

    hello all 3reefers

    i just introduced a new clam , and the flameback is just keep hitting the clam , we know that angels are not always reef safe, but my flame angel doesnt touch any coral or coco warm, or sabela worm i have, just the new clam. do u think that it can calm down with his attitude , or i have to decide which one to remove now ?

    for now i have isolated

    If by hit you mean it picks at the mantle, I doubt you'll ever be able to break that habit.

    A lot of times, there is one or two specific things that angels (or other non reef safe fish) have a taste for. So they'll leave 99% of things alone, but decide they like Xenia, for example, or in this case, clams.

    Remove one or the other. Ime Angels love picking at clams.

    +1 pick which one you like better and rehome the other because the picking won't stop and will be the demise of the clam.

    I removed my Flame Angel for the exact same reason. Nummm clams are tasty

    :( , ok guys thats what i thought, i was hoping for better, anyway , will remove the angel, as i cant see my tank without a clam. thanks to all for sharing your experience
