New Green Star Polyps Not Showing?

back to the star polyps...we didn't even know we had green star polyps until like a week after we bought new live rock. they apparently came with a chunk of live rock. when we went to do our first water change and rearrange some rock, we blasted the rock with the polyps on it (it had tons of black stringy gooey stuff on it) and we found the polyps! We moved them to a better place in the tank (more light, good flow) and they seem to be happy as clams.

New stuff keeps popping up on the live rock we purchased, especially mushrooms. I think we also found a brain coral and some other coral that I haven't identified yet. We are new to reefing/saltwater setups as well. If you buy new liverock, watch for stuff that comes on it!
