    While I was in Thailand, a friend of mine put one of his fish in my tank without me knowing. Kind of a suprise so to speak. I am okay with this only I dont know what it is? He claims it is a purple basslet. I think it is a purple dottyback. I havent been able to get a good pic, I will post asap. Thoughts?

    The only purple Basslet I am aware of is the Black cap Gramma Melecara.It is probably a dottyback.

    Def not this...I agree its prob a dottyback as I have never heard of a purple basslet.

    Well lets see that pic. :) Thought about getting one of them but decided against it.

    Its awfully shy. I'm okay with a dottyback now I've read some. I think a tank my size it will fair just fine.

    I do however want to make it clear that I took livestock without knowing anything about it. I'm not a fan of this the least bit.
