    I got this 5 inch crocea yesterday, it opened up and looks AMAZING! it is definitely my favorite invert now. I have been wanting one ever since i got a SW tank.

    Yeah, i agree..I asked my LFS for a 6" derasa like last week, but they couldnt find one when he went shopping for corals, he had these two croceas there for a while so i was like whatever, i have SPS,a GBTA and everything is doing fine so i just got this one, im really happy with it too! My next one will be a maxima or a derasa!

    yeah crocea are the most delicate of the clams, mainly because they LOVE intense lighting..before i upgrade to the 40 i had mine in the 29 about 8" directly under a 250halide...

    maxima and crocea look to much alike for the most part, which is why im getting the derasa next, and after that ill get the maxima..

    the derasa im getting is about 6"

    Awsome, im pretty happy with it..Its doing great!

    I have mine on the sand under a 150w MH.

    Very nice. All orals are cool. But clams and brains are just so sweet to have. Picked up a maze Brain two days ago last nite he had his tentacles out way cool. Again very nice.

    great looking clam! i find crocea's to be one of the easiest to keep. good luck with it! :)

    narly. I just bought a baybe one a week ago and it has doubled in size since. it is in my 28 gallon nano good luck
