    I have been doing 2 days at sand bed level
    3 days at about half way
    and then on day 6 putty them where I want them

    I'm running out of space on the top! Need more rock too, I guess :(

    Both can go in the middle to top. The RP could do well colorwise in the middle if you have a top of the line light fixture.

    Wow ! great adds! You have a wonderful personal shopper. I hope you pay her the big bucks!! :D

    My red planet keeps its best color at mid level in the tank. When I had it higher it really bleached out. I've also heard that lower is better for bringing out the green. But this is if you have strong lighting. If not, then top is best. And high flow is a must!

    Montis can be kept in the middle as well.

    Guys, is there anything that will work as a lugol's bath but homemade? Like some sort of iodine bath or something like that? I would like to find something more affordable?
    From wikipedia:

    When I checked online, prices were between 15 and 20 bucks for a very tiny bottle... how can this be? Is there a cheaper alternative I could use?

    Buy tincture of iodine from a drug store. Use 5 drops to a cup of tank water. Dip for 10 minutes and the rinse off in another cup of plain tank water.
