    I know it's no photosynthetic,

    I figure I would give it a shot though

    Will they eat Rotifers? I have marine snow but I'm not a big fan of it

    I don't think that is a Purple Sea Whip. I HAVE a purple sea whip and it is DEFINITELY photosynthetic. Its been in my 46 for over a year and I don't feed it, heck i seldom feed the 2 fish in that tank. I think its a blueberry gorg which is non-photosynthetic and hard to keep. Purple whips are extremely easy to keep.

    don't mean the thread jack but what type of gorgonian do I have? Here's a pic, the only reason I ask is that it hasn't polpy'd up recently and I'm not sure why:

    LOL, think what you want, I know better and I have pics of my tanks here on this website to prove it- I think you have never had a Gorgonian, else you would state so.

    The web states many things they simply are not true- but then how would you know?

    that is def. a purple frilly gorgonian.

    have a look a Cramer's Caribbean critters listings, he sells lot's gorgonians- it's where all but 2 of mine came from.

    Um it is not PHOTOSYNTHETIC
    this is a quote from reefcleaners on what kinds you may get!
    THEREFORE IT IS NOT A PURPLE FRILLY GORGONIAN. Also it says it is a non-photosynthetic gorgonian on the site. I have had gorgonians before because they are literally in my backyard at the jetties.

    Also it is not a purple frilly gorgonian it is a purple sea whip! The ones you bought from Cramer are photosynthetic these aren't!
