I'm looking to purchase a more powerful pump for the new 100g build. Anyone have any suggestions on minimum gph I should be looking for? I saw the Little Giant 'Quarium series pumps model number 4-MDQ-SC / CD-160644 1" which has a 800gph would this be to much pressure? Let me know your suggestions....

    Thanks again

Right so instead of a 90 gpd membrane you would need the 180 gpd membrane.☺

I'm looking to purchase a more powerful pump for the new 100g build. Anyone have any suggestions on minimum g.ph I should be looking for? I know there is a formula to determine but not sure how it works.

I currently am using a Reo Hydro pump with 1.5 " return lines connected to a pair of 3/4 " dual loc lines but the return pressure is minimal.

My over flow hoses are 2" Flex hose so water flows well back to the pump with the full syphon. Eventually had to add two gate valves to quiet the back pressure noise which I had been experiencing which did the trick..

    Let me know your suggestions.

    Thanks again
