Hydor Smart Level Control ATO System

I found out this ATO was released around a week ago from Hydor, @89$ it looks like a good product, uses temp differentials instead of float switches to activate water pump. Also has a third sensor with an audible alarm and shutoff to prevent over filling. I was going to go with the jbj ato but it looks failure prone with the float switches compared to this one. I may be the first one on the forum to purchase, review to come...

Definitely let us know what you think. I'll be needing an ATO for my 45 gallon cube.

But it doesn't come with a top off pump?! I know they are not very much $$ but I wonder why they wouldn't include it. Looking forward to review as well. Getting my 32 cube build set up and after light, ATO is next on the list.

the ATO is awesome so far, been using it for around 2 weeks now, truly a great plug and play item. I have a 14 gallon BC with a sump that needs topping off around once per day, and this works great for it. It is not compatible with an aqua lifter, im running a hydor pico pump with it. It does have a few simple requirements to work properly, fill up time must fall within 25 seconds to ten minutes. and it must not be in an area with turbulent flow, as long as these conditions are met it is very reliable.

It has been running since the last post and performance has been flawless. Thanks to this ATO my salinity has been at a very constant level for the past few months, hasnt failed me so far. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a good reliable ATO.

Thanks for that update. What pump are you using with that?
