    You're thinking toggle. They work, but they make a big hole.

    Yes, that it it.

    You can just patch the hole with plaster an paint over when you move...

    True, but they make such a big hole that you'll see the hole even with the bolt in place, unless you cover it with a big washer or the like.

    That's part of the reason I used what I linked to, aside from them being rated for greater weight.

    My house is like 170 years old and the ceiling is lathe and plaster, no dry wall. I think I figured a way to do it and I found a joist( 28 inches from the wall lol). Also my light is pretty heavy and would definitely feel more comfortable suspending it from a something solid.

    Plaster is much more expensive than today's standard sheet-rock.

    Alright plumbing done drained some water outrageous the original tank already gotta put new tank back in place level and start filling ...yay!!!!
