I designed it to fit a 40 breeder and so I can slide it out with the tank set up...I just planned on getting one of these cheap used 40 breeders that everyone talks about that I have yet to see lol. I found a 50 breeder that would have been awesome but never got back to me.

Finally found some one selling not one but two 40 breeders...so I bought both lol. I'll keep one just in case as I only paid 70 for both and couldn't turn that down. Now I can finally set the sump up and in the stand. I just gotta get the dang flooring in. The stand is stained but I don't have all the trim on yet. I do gotta plan out how I can set up a little shelf up to hold the closed loop pump, figure out how to mount up some power strips, and where I'll be mounting the head unit for the reef keeper. Oh and I gotta work something out for suspending my leds. Man...more work then I thought lol...

Congrats on the buys. There is a lot of work but it is well worth it when you are done.;)

Here's a pic of my stand and how the side opens. Stand still needs the doors attached and the finish trim yet. The side panel stays on with two two neodinium magnets at top and two pins in bottom. The corner molding will kind of act as the handles to pull it off.

I have heard of companies that make stand with side access just didn't know how they did so this is what me and my dad came up with. Figured being able to remove the sump easily could come in handy.

Very nice design. Most commercial stands have a door on the side.
