I had a silverside in a cup with no luck and he disappeared when the lights came on. I've been hunting this thing for like over a year lol. Im not sire what kind he is but its quite large probably bigger then a half dollar and has very tan hairy legs and a dark shell.

I didn't see the crab all day but after the lights came on I spotted him. I grabbed a kind of picture of him after I took the first one he skitted away a little and the picture didn't come out as it focused on something else instead. He skitted away again and I lost him. In hind sight I should have grabbed a weapon instead of the camera and I probably could have got a better picture of him. As a reference for the picture that chromis is about 1.5 to 2 inches long.

I did play with the pictures to get them a little more in focus and brighter.

I was so close to getting him tonight. I had it pinned but I couldn't get it a hold of it because I was holding a flash light and the thing I had em pinned with...I wish my wife had been awake to help lol. The thing is bigger then I thought too. Outer legs to legs is probably more then 2 inches. I might be able to eat the darn thing when I get it out lol.

Try the shot glass or regular glass against the rock with the deli shrimp piece. You'll get him.

Tried it with s silverside half dozen times at and never got em. He would never fit in a shot glass either lol. Think a shrimp would be more enticing though?

Thank you. Things will probably change a little as I have partially torn the rock work apart to get this crab. Man why did I let the anemone attach to the rock where the crab is living lol.

Man that was a fight... I'll take a pic of what is left of my aquarium tomorrow when the lights come on. Guy lost a leg an a claw in the fight but I am glad he is finally out of there.

Congrats on catching the crab. Scape looks pretty decent as is.
