Definitely don't put a toothbrush to it. The tissue is sensitive. My GSP has closed up for days at a time, leave it be.

 

Actually haven't been messing with it. After 3 days mike suggested I get detritus off the mat. Have to admit 4 days is a little odd

 

Ohhhh 1 is coming out.

Pictures of them all. Can see the GSP on back glass. Looks weird when not opened up.

 

For the sake of not starting another thread and Ballgame will need this info in about a year anyway... How does one remove GSP from a rock? I just gave away my big rock full of it, but I have a couple other pieces that are critical to my aquascape that have a few sprouts on them. I thought about scraping them off, but I'm worried they will float around and latch on to other rocks.

 

Take the rock out and put it in a bucket of salt water and take a razor blade or brush and remove the GSP and put back in tank.

 

Hammer and chisel it off the rock. Worked for me in the past.
